Industry News: Become a Churchill Fellow - Children and young people with experience of Care29/7/2022
In 2022 we will open for Fellowship applications in our theme Children and young people with experience of care. We will be seeking applications that aim to improve the lives and outcomes of children and young people with experience of care. This includes children in care, those on the edge of care, adoptees and care-leavers. We also welcome applications that aim to increase support for caregivers and for families affected by care concerns. Applications can be made on this website from 13 September 2022 until Tuesday 22 November at 5pm. If you would like to receive further information as it becomes available, please sign up for our ‘application alerts’ using the form at the bottom of this page and we will keep you updated. Download our flier on this theme. We welcome applications from anyone who has contact with young people in care. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience of care themselves, as well as foster carers, kinship carers and adopters. We’re also very keen to hear from researchers, educators, social workers and those in the health, charity, justice and education sectors. Fellows in this theme form part of a dedicated community specialising in this area, with tailored opportunities for support and networking in this field. This annual theme is offered in partnership with Coram and The Hadley Trust. It is guided by our Children in Care Working Group of Fellows and other experts in this field. See Fellows' impact in this theme. We recognise our responsibility to the environment through our Fellowship programme and our operations. Our progress on this is explained here.
