Barnardo's West Yorkshire Keyworker Service have developed through our lived experience and engagement work four Youth Expert by Experience Worker roles.

We want to create better outcomes for our children, young people and young adults and we are looking for young people to join our team who share our passion to improve lives.

A Youth Expert by Experience worker is an ambassador role which has been created for young people to apply for.

You will be up to the age of 25, have experience of either accessing keyworker provision in West Yorkshire or have lived experience of neurodivergence - this could be either for yourself or for a family member.

You will represent and advocate for children and young people who use our services across West Yorkshire.

You will support and shape the West Yorkshire Keyworker Service using your unique perspective and experiences.

You will support with making change to other services that children and young people use in West Yorkshire.

We are open to working with you to find out what you would like to advocate for and develop your skills in.
