Location: Barnardo's Cymru Adoption & Fostering Service Salary: £35,360 - £41,006 Contract type: Permanent Hours: 37 Closing Date: 16 June 2023 Interview Date: TBC We are seeking to recruit a permanent full-time Adoption Social Worker within Barnardo's Cymru Adoption Service. We are a Pan-Wales service which means we work with prospective adopters and adopters across Wales. We are looking for a social worker who is innovative, dynamic and forward-thinking to join our established adoption team. As a social worker within our adoption team you will assess and prepare prospective adoptive families to meet the needs of children with an adoption plan. You will work closely with family finders internally and externally, whilst building strong positive relationships with the Adoption Regions across Wales. Working within a regulated framework it is of importance that the successful candidate is able to respond within regulatory time frames and with timeliness to the needs of children, prospective adopters and adoptive families.
You will have experience of Regulatory obligations, such as reviews, visiting families, prospective Adopters, managing caseloads, completing PAR Assessments and reviews. work as an effective Team Player, bring an holistic approach to the Service. Managing risks; writing reports, undertake interviews, observations, assessments; work with other partner agencies; analytical reporting; case records and management information and experience of working with a diverse range of communities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative and innovative Voluntary adoption service where you will have the opportunity to further develop a successful child-focussed service, making a real difference to the lives of children and adoptive families across Wales. Our offices are based in Caerphilly, however hybrid working is encouraged across the service, which enables a more flexible approach to the working week.
