You will play an active role in supporting young people (aged 9 - 16 years of age) and their families in the community to overcome barriers which may be impacting on young people’s health, social, emotional and educational needs in order to improve outcomes whilst remaining in their family setting. You will also support young people staying in our short breaks residential home to provide day to day care whilst they transition back to their family home or onto a more permanent residential placement. This is an especially exciting opportunity to join a developing therapeutic service embedded within children’s social care. Alongside our trainee entry pathway, you will receive additional training to equip you with all the tools you will need to work within the AMBIT service. AMBIT (Adolescent Mentalization-Based Integrative Treatment) is a systemic approach to meet the needs of working with children, young people and their families. The approach applies the principle of mentalization to relationships with clients, the team around the child any inter agency working.
