Job Opportunity with Barnardo's - Operations Manager - Fostering

Barnardo's has well over 100 years experience in delivering fostering and adoption services across the UK, with our fostering services in Scotland having been in operation for in excess of 18 years.

The primary aim of the North fostering service is to provide the highest quality of substitute family care for children and young people who cannot live with their birth families.

We are recruiting an Operations Manager to join our existing fostering team in the North of Scotland. We will look to the Operations Manager to:
  • Deliver high quality, effective and safe family placement services to children and young people.
  • Grow Barnardo's family placement business, ensuring recruitment and placement targets are met.
  • Raise awareness of Barnardo's and its work to commissioners, external partners and external supporters.
  • Supervise Practice Managers, the service's Admin Manager and the Recruitment Officer.

The successful applicant will hold a social care qualification and appropriate registration, have substantial experience of working with children and young people within a family placement context, and experience of successfully managing a team of professional staff.

You will also be required to complete a financial exercise as part of the interview.
