Location: Hybrid working, Barnardo's hub/office or home address Salary: £35,360 - £47,320 (Full Time Equivalent) plus £312 Office at Home Allowance Contract type: Permanent Hours: 22 hours and 24.5 hours with flexibility Closing Date: 9 June 2023 Interview Date: TBC We are excited to be recruiting for two posts for Family Placement Social Workers within the Barnardo's Scotland Adoption Service. The service is registered with the Care Inspectorate and has recently been inspected and achieved Grades of 5.
We aim to achieve high quality, stable homes for children and young people by robust assessment and support for adopters. Ensuring that adopters are appropriately recruited, assessed, trained, and supported within the required regulations and national minimum standards. We have split the post in terms of time across two broad areas, please speak to us about the posts and hours as there may be room for some negotiation. Post 1: 22 hour post based in the North of Scotland, Dundee to Aberdeen catchment. There is the option to work from our Aberdeen or Dundee office as well as working flexibly from home. Post 2: 24.5 hour post based in the Central and to the West of Scotland. There is the option to work from our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices as well as flexibly from home. You must be social work qualified, registered with SSSC and have experience in assessment and working in partnership with other professionals and agencies dealing with a wide range of cases including safeguarding, delivering training, building positive relationships and working as part of a team.
