Salary: £53,918 - £69,323 plus £312 per annum Office at Home Allowance
Contract type: Permanent
Closing Date:25 June 2023
A vacancy has arisen to join the Senior Management Team within our Central Region. If you are an inspirational and aspirational leader in Children's Services with a drive to ensure excellence for children, young people, and their families then this opportunity may be for you. The Senior Management Team for the region provides a full coverage of oversight, support, challenge and presence for our teams and services. The post therefore requires the applicant to be able to travel across the regional Central area at times.
The role requires resilience and professional assurance to be able to work remotely; to act as the senior relationship manager for a variety of services externally across the sector and internally at Barnardo's. You will proactively seek opportunities to build new relationships and deepen existing ones with local authorities, health partners and other commissioning bodies. This is a key and influential role, working as part of the Central England Children's Services Senior Management Team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for a varied portfolio of work in Children's Services across the region. The successful applicant will also work with senior colleagues to ensure we continue to develop services to best meet the needs of children, young people, and their families in line with Barnardo's Corporate Strategy to achieve Safer Childhoods, Stronger Families and Positive Futures.
Applicants will be required to engage in the regional out of hours telephone on call rota along with senior manager colleagues.
The successful candidate can be assigned a base close to where you reside or home based. This can be confirmed at point of offer.
Please note due to the high volume of applications for some posts, this advert might close before the displayed closing date. We recommend that you apply for this role as soon as possible.
Pay & Reward Framework
We know that our colleagues go above and beyond in delivering our vital work, driven by their passion and commitment to Barnardo's values. We also know that we can only realise our ambitions and achieve better outcomes for more children, thanks to the talent, hard work and creativity of our people.
For all these reasons, we are committed to a new approach to pay and reward, to ensure it is fair, attractive and progressive, which was rolled out 1st April 2023. This is a positive change for the charity, and a key pillar of our People & Culture Strategy. It will assist us in supporting colleagues to grow and develop in their career at Barnardo's as it will offer clear routes of progression for colleagues to progress through the pay band of their role.
Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band – this ensures that pay progression steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours. More details on Barnardo's pay framework can be found upon application.
