![]() Location: South East Salary: £35,360 - £41,006 plus £312 Office at Home Allowance Contract type: Permanent Hours: 37 Closing Date: 21 July 2023 Interview Date: TBC We are excited to be recruiting a Family Placement Social Worker for our Barnardo's Adoption South East service.
We aim to achieve high quality, stable homes for children and young people by robust assessment and support for adopters. Ensuring that adopters are appropriately recruited, assessed, trained, and supported within the required regulations and national minimum standards. The post is 37 hours and could be split into a job share if there were suitable applicants so we welcome applications from those looking for full time or part time hours. The job role is primarily a working from home post and will be based around a hybrid model of working virtually and visiting families. You will need to be available to travel around the Southeast (Kent, London, Essex, Hampshire, Sussex and Surrey.) You will also need to travel nationally on occasion should matching require it. You should be comfortable working virtually to a high standard. Due to this role being homebased you will need to be highly motivated and able to work independently. You must be social work qualified, registered, and have experience in assessments and working in partnership with other professionals and agencies dealing with a wide range of cases including safeguarding, delivering training, building positive relationships and working as part of a team.
