Job Opportunity with FFP Member, Together Trust: Head of Governance

Salary: £37,454.00
​Hours: 37.5 hours per week

  • 2 yearly salary increments.
  • 27 days annual leave rising to 30 after 5 years and 33 after 10 years plus bank holidays.

Main Responsibilities


As part of our team you will:
  • Support the Trust Leadership Team to ensure processes are in place to maintain and build the Trust’s reputation as an accessible, well-governed, transparent, and accountable charity.
  • Support the Trust Leadership Team to ensure processes are in place so our strategic goals are delivered in line with compliance and best practice set out by several regulators who include the Charity Commission and the Department for Education.
  • Help guide our trustees and governors with effective support
  • To ensure that high standards of governance are maintained and continuously improved to help us deliver our mission.
  • Retain performance reporting oversight of our 40+ care, education, clinical and community services in the North West region and surrounding areas.

About you & Qualifications
  • Ideally, we’re looking for someone with an ICSA qualification or similar. It’s essential you are Educated to degree level or equivalent,
  • Understanding of key charity and company legislation and impacts for compliance and regulations in care, education or community settings
  • interpersonal/relationship building/stakeholder engagement skills
  • leadership and line management: planning and coordinating the work of others
  • Significant experience in governance and/or company secretariat, experience within an education and/or service (legal, commercial, charity etc.) environment
