Salary: Circa £50K based on experience
Location: Homebased (England) – With expected travel when required. 
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time (flexible working hours)

Why Action for Children?

We believe that every child should have a safe and happy childhood, we work to ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting change to their lives.  

A bit about the role: 

You will lead an England-wide team, creating collaborative partnerships with other key stakeholders.  This work will positively impact children by reducing parental conflict and facilitating shared planning for children.   You will ensure high quality delivery that meets commissioner expectations and contractual requirements.

How you will help to create brighter futures.  
Our vision is that every child and young person in the country has a safe and happy childhood. To help us achieve this, you will: 
  • Manage and lead a team of professional social care and support staff across England. 
  • Develop and establish effective working relationships with our key partners - Cafcass, our subcontracted partners, family court social workers, family hubs and family court professionals including judges. 
  • Manage budget and service performance 

Let's talk about you. 
Our job description at the bottom of the advert outlines the requirements of the role but the ‘must-haves' are:  
  • The ability to lead, motivate and manage. 
  • A qualification relevant to the services within the remit of this post. 
  • Strong IT Skills including the ability to understand learning platforms, other systems and how they support the user experience. 
  • Experience in managing family support and parenting services, including co-design with children and young people. 
  • Experience of managing a service across a wide geographic area with a dispersed team. 
  • Experience of analysing data and management information to support continual service improvement and development. 
  • The ability to travel as required.

Interviews will Take place Friday the 17th of March either via Teams or in Person depending on the candidate's location.
