Location: Newcastle Support Office
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 21.75
Salary: £43,096 - £55,371 FTE
Closing Date: 12 July 2021
Interview Date: 22/7/21 and/or 23/7/21

At Barnardo's, we believe in children. Our purpose is to transform the lives of the UK's most vulnerable children and our vision is to realise Thomas Barnardo's dream of a world where no child is turned away from the help that they need. If you share our belief, this is your opportunity to shape and support the Barnardo's West regional strategy to work with even more vulnerable children and young people over the coming years.

You will take the lead in providing a comprehensive range of invaluable services that evolve in response to commissioning priorities. Currently, those include Supported Accommodation, Children's Centres, Family Hubs, Family Support, Dad's Work, Family Group Conferencing, a Young People's Centre, and Working with Women who have had multiple children removed.

To begin with, you'll establish the relationships and apply the strong leadership that nurtures collaborative partnerships, and that champions our corporate strategy, service models and opportunities to stakeholders, commissioners and our own people. Overall, you'll be a Barnardo's ambassador, delivering our vision and purpose, championing a strategic, innovative and pioneering approach to transforming the lives of children and young people.

With experience of working strategically and collaboratively to provide services within a similarly complex health, housing, education or social care context, you're ready for the challenge. So you'll also combine expert business management, including managing contracts and quality standards across a portfolio of diverse services, and the leadership that directs, guides and inspires your team at all levels. Our leaders are driven to deliver by thinking strategically, inspiring their team and engaging all with our big vision for transforming the lives of children. And you'll share those qualities too.

This role will cover Barnardo's North of Tyne and Cumbria Localities.

When completing your application please refer to your skills knowledge and experience in relation to the Person Specification, Job Description and Additional Information document (if applicable). This should be done with an understanding of the context of the service described
