We are seeking an inspirational and aspirational leader in Children's Services with a drive to ensure excellence for children, young people and their families. A new model of Children's Residential Care provision has been developed within the Children's Innovation Partnership between Barnardo's and Leicestershire County Council. The partnership was established to drive forward key elements of the Care Placement Strategy 2018-2021. Via this partnership, Barnardo's are currently mobilising four distinct residential properties; a family residential assessment home, an under 16's Children's Home, an over 16's Children's Home and an assessment bed unit. As part of our Senior Management Team, covering Central England, your primary focus will be driving forward our residential provision in Leicestershire by providing both operational and strategic accountability. You must have significant experience of managing residential provision, be prepared to register as a Responsible Individual as well as having extensive knowledge of a range of issues that may impact on children and young people who are looked after and of those issues which affect parenting capacity.
