Location: Hybrid working - flexibility needed to travel around the UK but most in person meetings held in London approximately 2 days per month. Barnardo's plays a vital role in supporting some of the most vulnerable children, young people and families in the UK and we are looking for an experienced combined Company Secretary & Head of Legal. As Company Secretary the role will be responsible for ensuring the Trustees take decisions and comply with the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements affecting the charity and its activities. As the Head of Legal the role will play a leading position in the charity by providing leadership to the legal department and legal leadership across the organisation. The Head of Legal will provide proactive, in-depth, business-focused legal advice on all new initiatives, analysing and identifying the legal risks and implications of the charity's business, keeping the senior management in all departments of the business informed of developments in laws and regulations that potentially affect the business.
