​Barnardo's Scotland Fostering Glasgow are looking to recruit a part time Practice Manager to join our busy team. This position is for a 22.2 hour post.

You will work alongside 2 other PT Practice Managers as part of a wider team of staff responsible for the recruitment and support of foster carers who provide care to looked after children and young people who are referred to our service from the Local Authority.  This post is primarily linked to our Glasgow and West Fostering service with an expectation on occasion to travel further afield.

We are seeking an individual who can:
  • work alongside others in planning and coordinating services and be a proactive colleague
  • lead, support and manage others
  • oversee and maintain systems
  • be flexible to respond to the needs of both colleagues but especially carers and young people
  • demonstrate both excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • have a good understanding of the legislation, policies and National Standards we work within
  • ensure that Children and Young People's welfare remains paramount and central in all aspects of the service
