Member Job Opportunity:  Barnardo's - Social Worker - Family Placement

Salary: £28,631 - £38,163 (Full Time Equivalent)

Plus On-call allowance
  • Do you want to work for the UK's largest children's charity?
  • Do you have experience of and a passion for working with Disabled children, young people and their families?
  • Do you have experience of working within a fostering/short breaks service and undertaking Form F fostering assessments?
  • Are you skilled at recruitment, supporting and matching foster carers with children and families to provide essential personalised family-based short-breaks or full-time permanent fostering placements?

If you have answered YES to the above questions, you may just be the person we are looking for.

You will be required to:
  • Hold a caseload of up to 12 families, required to deliver some 1-1 work and be flexible.
  • Provide supervision, support and training to foster and short break carers and an on-call provision.
  • To travel throughout the city of Brighton & Hove Council.
  • Support the participation of disabled children y/p and ensuring their voice is central.
  • Record on our Charms data base, joint lead responsibility for recruitment of foster carers and manage our Facebook page and monitoring data for reporting purposes.

At Brighton & Hove Link Plus service, we are a supportive, committed experiences team and we are passionate about the work we do. We are a fully funded service, commissioned by Brighton & Hove City Council, to deliver an “Outstanding” Ofsted rated bespoke fostering and short-break service for disabled children and their families in the city
