Member Job Opportunity: St Christopher's Deputy Manager – Edge of Care & Transitions Service – Isle of Man

Contract Type: Permanent
Specific Hours: 40 Hours per week, shift work including weekends and bank holidays

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our developing therapeutic service as a Deputy Manager. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading and supporting our team of dedicated professionals as we work to meet the needs of children, young people and their families.

About the Role
As a Deputy Manager, you will have the opportunity to receive additional training from the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, and to further your career in the therapeutic field. If you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of support workers in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in their family home or residential setting.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with external agencies.
  • Support and participate in the ongoing training and development of staff, including the implementation of the AMBIT way of working.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement effective service delivery strategies.
  • articipate in regular supervision and provide feedback to staff to support their professional growth.

 The successful candidate will have
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Relevant experience working in children's residential care, community intervention or similar settings.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including experience leading a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and standards, and experience ensuring compliance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with children, young people, families and team members.
