Salary: £12,150 per annum pro rata (FTE £24,300) and Home Working Allowance £375 per annum pro rata

We are looking to recruit an experienced individual for appointment as Children's Resource Worker with the TACT Yorkshire and North East England Team, offering a range of services which impact positively on the welfare of children. Experience of working with or advocating for children and young people, alongside excellent communication skills are essential and a qualification in youth and community work, or equivalent, would be desirable. TACT's Children's Support Workers provide services in close partnership with parents, carers, children, young people, local authorities and their social workers according to the needs of our children and families, providing post holders with varied and rewarding duties.

The overall purpose of the Children's Resource Worker role is to work closely with looked after children, the birth children of foster carers and the foster carers, to achieve agreed objectives for excellent care as outlined in the 5 Every Child Matters regulatory Outcome Areas  for England, with the aim of impacting positively on the welfare of children.

We would welcome applications from candidates based in Yorkshire and North East who would be willing to travel to surrounding areas, when it is safe to do so.. Due to the nature of this post the successful Children's Support Workers will need to be willing to work with flexibility regarding hours and days of work and occasional overnight stays may be required for organised events when it is safe to arrange them.
