Member Job Opportunity: TACT Connect Assistant - (Fixed Term Contract)

Salary: £20,000 pa (pro rata) + £750 HWA pa (pro rata) + £3,777 London Weighting pa pro rata (if applicable)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: FTC 6 Months

TACT Connect, our community for those care-experienced, are seeking a TACT Connect Assistant to provide an administration service to both the internal team and our Connect community. The postholder will be the first point of contact to those interested in or already part of the TACT Connect scheme.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Completing various administration tasks to support the team.
  • Communicating professionally with a wide range of people including colleagues, carers, and third-party organisations to establish professional working relationships which focus on the ongoing development of the TACT Connect community.
  • Responding to telephone calls and allocating these to team members as appropriate. When necessary, taking messages for team members and ensuring that these are passed on.
  • Responding to messages from the public and communicating with foster parents by email in professional manner.
  • Sending personalised cards, gifts and workshop packs to those who are eligible to access the Connect Scheme, ensuring that they are both put together with care and sent on time.
  • Taking minutes and sharing them with relevant team members.
  • Working flexibly and autonomously within the team as needed to manage your time and duties.

The successful candidate will have:
  • GCSEs in English & Maths or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a busy administrative role
  • Experience of customer service in a relevant setting
  • Confidence in using all Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, OneDrive & SharePoint
  • Experience of using information/software systems to record, retrieve and maintain records
  • Experience and knowledge in fostering and care experience
  • Excellent communication skills to suit a broad range of professional relationships
  • Knowledge and understanding of foster care, how children may come into care of a local authority, and the role that TACT Connect plays as a scheme housed by TACT Fostering.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the nature of cultural diversity
  • Awareness of Fostering framework regulations
  • Good understanding of safeguarding procedures. data protection and information security.
