Contract Type / Location: Permanent - Homebased with occasional travel to meetings and events TACT is the UK's largest specialist charity provider of fostering services. Our core work involves providing high quality and well supported fostering families for children and young people in the care of local authorities. Working in partnership with local authorities across England, Wales and Scotland, we are dedicated to providing creative, effective and outcome-focused services. We also campaign on behalf of care experienced children and young people, their carers and are a leading voice in the sector. TACT Connect is a national programme set up by TACT Fostering, created to offer both support and, most importantly, community to teens and adults who live within or have lived within TACT fostering families. Connect works across regions, being predominantly online, and is open to those aged 15 and upwards (TACT Connect). This Big Lottery Funded scheme, offers a Mentoring Programme to young people between 15 to 18-years-old and full membership to those who are aged 16 and beyond. TACT Connect community, provides all new members with a Membership Welcome Box and 16+ members have access to our members-only online Connect Hub. The Connect Hub provides information, support, and up to 10 online community spaces per month for member participation. This year, we are also hosting face-to-face and residential meetings, spending time together at our very first TACT Connect Get Away in the countryside. As our TACT Connect Engagement and Wellbeing Worker, you will be responsible lead on engaging with members, being available to celebrate achievements, offering guidance around life’s challenges, and, where needed, engaging with other professionals to promote education, employment, good wellbeing and healthy relationships. The Engagement and Wellbeing Worker will use excellent communication skills to support members in participating and developing the TACT Connect scheme and facilitate online groups and face-to-face events. Working closely with other team members you will ensure the experience and information provided by members is considered, listened to and feeds into TACT Connect as a whole.
