Member Job Opportunity: TACT - Head of Health Service

Location: Homebased - UK wide - Working Remotely
Salary: £50,250 p.a. (£49,500 p.a. Salary + £750 p.a. Homeworking Allowance) + £3,613 London Weighting Allowance p.a (if applicable)
Closing Date: 31/01/2022
Interview Date: 09/02/2022 & 10/02/2022 (pm)
Hours: 35 hour per week

Candidates living in a London Borough will also get a London Weighting Allowance of £3,613 p.a.

Do you have a degree and or qualification in Nursing, Clinical Psychology and relevant post-graduate qualification in Children and Adolescent’s Mental Health?

Have you worked in Child Health and specifically Young People’s Mental Health services within NHS, Local Authority or multi-disciplinary settings?

If you would like to use this experience to deliver quality interventions, advise, signpost and work with a wide range of social care and health professionals in supporting staff and carers make a positive difference with regards to our young people’s health needs…….THEN THIS COULD BE THE ROLE FOR YOU!!!!

Core Responsibilities include:
  • Project managing the introduction of the TACT Health Care Service which will provide health care interventions, support and awareness to TACT’s carers and the young people we care for.
  • Use research and insight into analysed data and trends in the wider area of child health.
  • Integrate and adapt internal processes and systems so that matters of children’s health can be supported and enhanced by this service provision and working closely with our managers in reviewing psychology services to support carers and young people. Moderate and evaluate direct therapy that is commissioned by TACT to ensure it is equitable economically, ethically and in quality. 
  • Work to advocate for young people’s needs in professional meetings and ensure all our children and young people receive the health services they require and are entitled to, working to reduce delays, securing funding and negotiating to find ways around long waiting lists. 
  • Build safe, positive, impactful relationships with children and carers in need of direct and referred health care support and help others to manage productive outcomes regarding health.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with other stakeholders in relation to children and carers health needs.
  • Raise awareness of the new Health Service with carers, young people, TACT teams and other social care organisations.

Main Requirements:
  • A degree and or qualification and professional registration in Nursing, Clinical Psychology and relevant post-graduate qualification in Child and Adolescent’s Mental Health.
  • Previous experience of working in child health (including mental health) and working in multi-disciplinary team such as CAMHS.
  • A broad range of clinical skills and knowledge around Trauma Informed practice, PACE, CBT, Solution Focused and Group work.
  • Ability to assess reports and interpret clinical information in order to provide clear and concise information tailored for different audiences.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, manage power, resistance, conflict and difference across services and think creatively in order to meet the health needs of our young people.
