Our celebrity supporters never fail to amaze us with their commitment to Action for Children. Whether donning our branded t-shirts on TV or jumping out of planes, their support helps us continue to reach vulnerable families and children around the UK. This is particularly felt at Christmas. The magic of Christmas begins in childhood. Hanging stockings. Sharing festive food. Presents under the tree. But for vulnerable children across the UK, Christmas is anything but magical. At a time when families are celebrating, others are struggling. Thanks to the support of our celebrity ambassadors this Christmas, we could help more children and families with nowhere else to turn, this year and beyond. They help spread our goal of helping children have safe and happy childhoods. So, whose faces should you look out for the Christmas? Larry Lamb Actor Larry Lamb has become the iconic voice of the Action for Children Christmas TV advert. After becoming a household name for his appearances in Gavin and Stacey, EastEnders, and I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, Larry Lamb is now on our TVs calling attention to the needs of vulnerable children across the UK. Where to watch the Secret Santa TV ad Last year, our Secret Santas helped us reach 765, 905 children and families across the UK. And we are incredibly grateful for Larry’s continued support this year too. TV star Billie Shepherd has teamed up with Action for Children this year to add a touch of glamour to our Secret Santa campaign. How? By designing a unique and beautifully festive charity Christmas bauble. Not only is the bauble charming in its design, but each purchase of Billie’s magical bauble can support our Secret Santa campaign. The bauble is also handmade, sustainable, plastic-free, and locally sourced. And its nude, gold, and mother of pearl design will make a lovely addition to any Christmas tree. See Billie react to the first unboxing of her magical bauble... Angela Rippon
Angela Rippon has become our very own dancing queen on Strictly Come Dancing this year. Each week, she has blown us away with her incredible performance. And the only thing more impressive than the signature Angela Rippon leg lift is her constant support for us. This year, you can expect to see Angela supporting our Secret Santa campaign in a number of ways. Across the festive months, she will be sharing the message of supporting vulnerable children and young people across the UK, and may even be making an appearance or two... Our celebrity supports mean the world to us are Action for Children. We are so grateful for their continued support. But we also know that we couldn't do any of this without the generous support of our Secret Santas too; the generous support of people like you. Right now, 4.2 million children live in poverty in the UK. That’s 600,000 more than in 2012. And 29% of all children. But with your support, we can continue to help these children have the safe and happy childhoods they deserve. We could put the magic back into Christmas for a vulnerable child. Comments are closed.
