![]() Silver status achieved for prestigious accreditation We are proud to announce that one of our London children’s homes has attained the prestigious London Youth Silver award, recognising excellence in youth work. The quality mark recognises the quality of the home’s youth offer, the child centred approach we adopt at St Christopher’s, the opportunities provided to young people, and the training and support provided to staff. Having already attained the Bronze award in 2021, young people and staff in the home were keen to build on the success and work together to demonstrate that they met the criteria to be awarded the Silver quality mark. The application gave them a chance to showcase some of the fantastic things they have been doing over the last year, with a focus on the opportunities available for young people and some young people chose to share personal development progress that they had achieved. The home manager noted that “with the unwavering support from the team, we have been able to achieve something that at times felt a little out of reach. We are enormously proud of attaining silver status.” UK Director of Operations Phil Townsend said “This is a fabulous achievement for the home and highlights that the children and young people remain at the core of all that we do.” Source: www.stchris.org.uk Comments are closed.
