Member News: St Christopher’s Fellowship Diamond Fund continues to shine thanks to funding from The Girdlers

St Christopher’s want to thank The Worshipful Company of Girdlers who have generously supported us this year and will make a difference for up to 200 young people.

The Diamond Fund exists to support children and young people to access employment, training and education opportunities and enable them to take part in enjoyable, fun, creative and sporting experiences throughout St Christopher’s services across England and the Isle of Man.

Young people can apply for support for items. Recent examples have included clothes for a job interview, a travel card for the first month of employment (until they get paid), course and exam fees, and equipment to participate in a college course or start a business. The Fund is also available for children and young people to take part in all kinds of group activities: sports, art, music, cookery, museum trips and more.  Helping to build relationships and resilience through positive, shared experiences.

Initiatives like the Diamond fund are part of broader philosophy St Christopher’s have in place to support lifelong learning and thriving.
