Member News: Team Fostering - Finance Officer

Location: North Shields or Sheffield
Hours: Full Time  30 hours per week. 9.00 am – 5.00 pm over 4 days
Salary: £18,072.00 to £20,883.20 per annum (FTE £22,590.00 to £26,104.00 per annum) depending upon experience

We offer hybrid working which includes a blend of home and office working with a minimum of one day per week in our office

Full Time  30 hours per week. 9.00 am – 5.00 pm over 4 days (one of which must be a Wednesday), with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.  Days to be agreed with successful candidate. 

Salary: £18,072.00 to £20,883.20 per annum (FTE £22,590.00 to £26,104.00 per annum) depending upon experience

Please note we do not operate a performance related reward system or automatic incremental payments

We are looking to recruit a Finance Officer to support the agency’s financial arrangements transition from an external financial provider to a key internal business area.  You will play a key part in assisting in the development of the internal financial function and embedding financial  procedures ensuring adherence to all contractual, statutory and external requirements and regulations.   

We are looking for candidates who can bring demonstrable experience and knowledge of:-

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a Finance department
  • Payroll experience
  • Credit control experience
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
  • Experience using financial software packages
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • Up to date knowledge of financial regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle complex issues
  • Strong financial, analytical and numerical skills
  • IT skills using office software packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
 
You will be very flexible and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to undertake continuing professional development.
